In Quebec, most listed prices for a custom t-shirt with your logo ran from $11.20 to $39.98 a shirt in August 2026, printing included. The $11.20 was a promo, and one shop listed higher: Poches et Fils, at $54.99. Inside that range, quantity moves the price more than anything else.
At Couleva a printed shirt is $24.99 from 12 units and drops to $16.99 from 100, before tax. Those are my prices as of August 2026. I print DTF in Laval, so I have a stake in this comparison, and I will point out where other shops come in cheaper.
There is one thing to know before you compare anything. Several local printers publish a grid that reads $6 or $7 a shirt, and the printing is not in that number. The note saying so sits in small print, and on the site I quote below, it is in French.
All-in prices in Quebec, August 2026
These are the prices I could read as they stood, printing included, without filling in a form. They are different offers at different quantities, so read the middle column before you compare the last one.
| Source | Offer | Price per shirt |
|---|---|---|
| SuperStitch MTL | 20 DTF shirts, left chest plus a 10" back, on promo (regular price $329) | $11.20 |
| promotrucs.ca | price guide dated 2025, short-sleeve tee | $12 to $17 |
| Optimalprint | custom tee | $19.99 |
| Les Fringueurs | pack of 10 shirts for $199.99 | about $20 |
| Vistaprint.ca | no minimum | $19.75 to $32.99 |
| Jean Coutu iPhoto | custom tee | $24.69 |
| imprimeriemontreal.com | full-colour tee | $39.00 to $39.98 |
| Poches et Fils | custom tee | $54.99 |
| Couleva (Laval) | 12 to 249 shirts, Gildan 64000, DTF front | $16.99 to $24.99 |
SuperStitch's promo is the lowest on the list, for 20 shirts printed front and back. At the regular price the same deal works out to $16.45 a shirt. A promo on 20 shirts and a no-minimum price for one shirt are not answering the same need, so a line-by-line comparison only goes so far.
The price that leaves the printing out
Studio Intik publishes a quantity grid for its shirts. On August 13, 2026, its Gildan 5000 was listed at $7.38 a shirt at 25 units, $6.65 at 50 and $6.07 at 100. The small print, translated from French: "Please note that the prices shown are for unprinted items only." The printing itself is priced by quote.
2ndSkin did the same thing. In August 2026 its Gildan 5000 was listed between $5.99 and $11.89, and the printing was quoted separately.
Nobody is hiding anything here. The note is on the page. The trouble is what happens when someone shops around. They see $6.07 at Studio Intik, then $19.99 at Optimalprint, and decide the second shop costs more than three times as much. What they are really comparing is a blank shirt with a printed one.
The shirt model matters too, before any ink goes down. In that same grid, at 25 units, a Bella+Canvas 3001 was $12.84 blank against $7.38 for the Gildan 5000.
What the printing adds on top of the shirt
T-Shirt Elephant is a Toronto company. In August 2026 it ranked first on Google here for "custom t-shirts Montreal", and it is also the only shop in Canada I found that prices its printing on its own line. It listed DTF at $4 to $10 a shirt from 24 units, on a Gildan 5000 at $4.95. That made it the one place where I could do the full addition from published numbers.
| Offer | Blank shirt | Printing | Total per shirt |
|---|---|---|---|
| Studio Intik, Gildan 5000, 100 units | $6.07 | by quote | unknown without a quote |
| 2ndSkin, Gildan 5000 | $5.99 to $11.89 | by quote | unknown without a quote |
| T-Shirt Elephant, Gildan 5000 + DTF (DTF at 24 units and up) | $4.95 | $4 to $10 | $8.95 to $14.95 (two published prices added up) |
| Couleva, Gildan 64000, DTF front, 12 to 24 units | included | included | $24.99 |
| Couleva, 100 to 249 units | included | included | $16.99 |
Screen printing also involves screens, one per colour, made for your order. Depending on the shop they are billed separately or built into the price, and none of the pages I read in August 2026 said how much. Setup fees get an article of their own.
Quantity moves the price more than anything else
Studio Intik's grid drops with quantity, and so does mine. Here is Couleva's, with the Gildan 64000 shirt and a DTF front print included.
| Quantity | Price per shirt | Discount | Total at the start of the tier |
|---|---|---|---|
| 12 to 24 | $24.99 | none | 12 shirts: $299.88 |
| 25 to 49 | $21.99 | 12% | 25 shirts: $549.75 |
| 50 to 99 | $18.99 | 24% | 50 shirts: $949.50 |
| 100 to 249 | $16.99 | 32% | 100 shirts: $1,699.00 |
For a team of 20, one shirt each, that is 20 × $24.99, or $499.80 before tax. Sizes mix however you like, and they all count together toward a tier.
Here is a detail that saves money. Because of the tiers, 25 shirts cost less than 24: $599.76 for 24 against $549.75 for 25. You pay $50.01 less and get one more shirt. The same thing happens between 49 and 50, and again between 99 and 100. If your count lands just under a tier, check the total at the next one before you pay.
Quantity also decides which method you can get. In August 2026, among the Quebec shops I checked, screen printing minimums ran from 12 units at MADJX and Le Coin Créatif to 25 at Studio Intik, and MADJX would even take 5 to 11 pieces off-season. For DTF, TonAtelier and Le Coin Créatif listed none, and SuperStitch started at 10. Mine is 12. I compared Quebec shop minimums in a separate article, and DTF versus screen printing has its own write-up.
Four questions to ask before you compare two prices
- Does the price include printing? If the page says "unprinted" anywhere, or "sans impression" on a French site, you are looking at a blank shirt.
- Are there fees before the first shirt? For screen printing, that is the screens. For embroidery, it is digitizing the logo, which etshirt.ca listed "à partir de 1.95$ / 1000", paid once per logo, without saying what the "/ 1000" refers to.
- Is your logo ready to print? In August 2026, PromoZone warned that graphic prep or vectorizing fees may apply, and gave no amount. I redraw a low-quality logo for free, and the file guide covers what to send.
- When do you pay? In August 2026, MADJX asked for a 50% deposit before production, and Studio Intik took a 50% deposit or payment in full. The total is the same either way. What changes is when the money leaves your account. While you are at it, check whether the price is before or after tax.
Where Couleva sits
I am not the cheapest, and I would rather say so before you run the numbers. At 12 shirts my $24.99 is above the $12 to $17 range in promotrucs.ca's price guide, which is dated 2025. For 20 shirts, SuperStitch comes in under me even without its promo. Add up T-Shirt Elephant's own published prices (blank shirt plus DTF) and it comes in under me too, before shipping from Toronto. From 100 shirts up, my $16.99 lands inside the promotrucs range.
What I can stand behind is how the price is shown and paid. From 12 to 249 shirts, the total updates on the business page as you pick quantities, with no quote to request. TonAtelier in Montreal also showed prices online and took cards in August 2026, so I am not claiming to be the only one.
You pay in full by card at the time you order. The price steps down at every tier up to 100, starting from a 12-shirt minimum. There are no setup fees, because DTF has no screens to make. A back print is available too, and the live total shows on the business page.
I print the orders myself, in Laval. You get a proof to approve, and nothing goes to print until you have. Count 1 to 2 weeks from that approval (turnaround has its own article). Shipping goes anywhere in Canada, or you can pick the order up in Laval on request.
For 250 shirts and up, or several designs in one order, send a quote request. I answer those myself, with a price within 1 business day. See the price for your quantity.
Frequently asked questions
How much do 50 custom t-shirts cost?
At Couleva, 50 shirts come to $949.50 before tax, or $18.99 each with a DTF front print (August 2026 pricing). The live total is on the business page.
Do bigger sizes cost more?
No. The price per shirt is the same from S to 3XL, and every size in the order counts toward the same tier.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
No, not for an order placed online: you pay the full amount by card when you order, Visa, Mastercard or Amex. Quoted orders get an invoice before printing.
Are there setup fees?
No. DTF has no screens to make, so nothing is billed before the first shirt. If your logo is low quality, I redraw it for free.
